There's a shitload of cheapish highish mile 12 and 24 Valves all around me; and if my 454 ever let go and I couldn't rebuild it, I think a 24 Valve with some decent tuning on it would work out nicely.

I never realized how hard as hell it is to find a 96-00 Suburban with a tailgate/hatch that's not clapped out entirely;

And I found this 99 Tahoe 4x4 with blown head gaskets for $400, looks like it's in good shape minus the hood and ugly cheyenne grille. I'm slightly tempted to go get it if that is really the only problem with it. Figured it would be the replacement for my totaled 93. I still need to go get my k3500 454, I'm going to call and ask the guy about it tomorrow.
