Tired of fixing lousy engineering.
1999 Sub, C1500, trans is a stock 4L60E. Unknown mileage.
Trans shifts fine, I don't feel any malfunction when driving.
But it's throwing a P0751 "Shift Solenoid A Performance/ stuck off"
The trans doesn't seem to be communicating properly with the PCM.
If I connect a tablet or computer that can read the current gear, it sometimes displays the wrong gear.
Usually it displays the correct gear at first but the readout seems to like being stuck on 4th. I can be sitting at a stop light, the truck obviously in 1st, but the PCM thinks it's in 4th according to the OBD2 data.
Bad ground maybe? Something in the pan?
