remember that scotsch connections are temporary and should replaced by something permanent.

Since I'm retired and don't drive it everyday like I did when I was still working hopefully that won't be as big of an issue, and if the connection fails, it should (hopefully) go back to the 'normal' mode. Since no wires were cut, only the coating on them. Also it was a 'proof of concept' sort of thing, at least for me. My son did the actual work for me. But if/when the connection does fail it should be just a case of striping the coating on the wires and solder them permanent.
