Shackle Flip Question

Finally going to do a flip on my 98.

The bolts for the shackle goes from the frame side to the outside. So how are you removing the bolt with it hitting the frame?

I haven't tried yet, just looking to prepare for the job!!

Also, anyone made their own u bolt flip plates? Like the plate the u bolts bolt to. If so pic and what size did you use?

I am not sure if this what your talking about, but if you mean the actual bolt the mounts the shackle to the spring, first you remove the bottom shackle bolt then jack up the spring pack and then the top bolt will come out and just fit between the bed floor and the frame.
