Anyone here running cats only no mufflers? Just wondering what it sounds like or if there are any drawbacks to doing so.

I did long time ago. I had the muffler cut out duals put on. It was loud and obnoxious. Other than loud it didn't make a differance.

I'm running cats only. No muffler, with a Y-pipe to single exit. That thing gets loud as ****... lol. But I like it.

edit: but the deer don't.

With a good set of cats, like Thunder Bolts, it should be almost like running straight pipes.
