I am tired of this. I really just don't get it. I found a few videos of Spintech Super Pro Street 9000 mufflers on a 99 tahoe and loved the sound. I ordered the two mufflers and put them on, and it sounds way worse then the flowmaster super 40. It is raspy, anything above 2200 rpms and crackles like crazy. I hate it. I will say that if flows a lot better then the flowmaster and that it seems to have a somewhat noticeable power increase over the flowmaster. But it is even quieter then the flowmaster 40, I was hoping for it to be louder! From what I have read I guess I can put an h-pipe in before the mufflers and it will get rid of some of the crackle. My exact setup is the stock 2" going to 2 thunderbolt high flow cats, then 2.5" pipe after cats going to 2 2.5" Spintech super prostreet 9000 mufflers and 2.5" pipe out the back.

Here is what I THOUGHT it was going to sound like......

BUT..I have no videos yet(I will try and make one tomorrow) but this is almost EXACTLY what mine sounds like....Please tell me how this makes any sense at all........(Sorry they are both Tahoes, it was the best videos I could find)

I run a spintech 6000. Pacesetter headers into the stcok y pipe then at the y pipe it goes into 3" all the way to my muffler then into 2.5" tailpipes at 45's. Sounds just like the first 2. If anything mines louder idling though.

Yours is louder because you are running headers. But the dumb this is I have pretty much the exact same setup as the tahoe and mine sounds nothing like it.

Thats why his has no crackle then he has duals with a y pipe so if you add an h or y pipe it will mellow it out a bit

Yea that is what I am going to do. BUT why is mine so much quieter? That is what I can't figure out. He has stock cats I have thunderbolt high flows which are pretty much the same as having none..If anything I would think mine would be louder.
