Play/clunk in transfer case

I can spin the rear drive shaft by hand and make it clunk. The clunk is definitely in the transfer case. There's also a bit of rotational play followed by a clunk when I let it go during the rotation. Seems like there's a clunk in the rear end and a little bit of play followed by the clunk in the case. So basically I'm hearing 2 clunks, one in the transfer case and the other in the rear end one after the other. Gt4 g80 rear end says the codes. Should I rebuild both or is this normal?

"The G80 locker will disengage at about 20 mph and will not lock up again until you drop below 20 mph (use centrifugal force engage/disengage)."

I found this bit of information on another forum and I thought it was interesting because that is about the speed that I get the clunk when driving.. Anyone have an opinion on what I should do?
