np241 sensor troubles

As stated in previous thread im in the middle of swapping out the 4l60e in my wifes 96 k1500 with a 88 nv3500 had to get a different np241from a 92 cause the -nv3500 hAd 32 spline output and the auto had less now what im guessing is the sensor for 4x4 indicator is diff the 96 has three wires and goes over an inch into the tcase while the 92 has 2 wires and goes less then half inch into tcase so i.can't just swap them is there a hybrid sensor or way i can wire the 2 prong sensor up? I can't be the first person to have this problem please help gurus
