Hey guys I just joined up. I've got an 89 Sierra 1500 2wd. Got it a little over a year ago for free. Was told it had a bad head gasket. Ended up being a bad water pump and intake gaskets. $40 later and it's been the best $40 I spent. Had very little trouble with it. It's at 225k miles 35k I put on it. Most reliable truck I've owned. So far the only mods I've done to it is a NBS master cylinder swap, abs delete, 6 lug conversion with heavy half rotors and a 4wd rearend with a locker. I use it as a DD and a working truck. Lately I've been finding myself towing some relatively heave trailers through the mountains with it. It's does it good but could use just a little more power up the hills so it's currently going under an lt1 and nv4500 swap. Hopefully it all goes well and I'll be a part of the forums here for a while.
