I am building a new motor for my truck with a better cam, old school heads, and a carb

If you're going to do that, than seriously, Long tubes, H pipe, dumped behind the rear axle. Then put some E-Cut outs in the mid pipes. Be digging.

How much do cut outs run. As it sits the cam in my truck is worn and sounds sh!tty. By spring ill have a 357 with a comp cam energy series cam. I still gotta find heads and a carb for a good deal. My buddy has a 90 with headers and true dual race bullets and a 350 tbi out of a pulling truck that runs like absolute poo. It sounds amazing tho.

You've got to be one of only a handful of people that thinks straight stock cam TBI/Vortec engines sound good.

I love the v8 sound and i like to hear it with my windows up. As it sits even with the 10 series its not very loud.

long tube headers, into an H-pipe (not X-pipe), into dual flowmaster 10s or your choice of mufflers then dumped before the rear axle.

How would that look and hook up under the truck?
