I should have started this a while back, but:

So back on Jan 1 I picked up my first modern-ish Chevy product. My previous project truck that I still own is 1970 C-10 short bed that I have completed as a rest-mod patina truck. I got bored, and go the idea I wanted a Blazer.

Couldn't afford a 69-72 like I would prefer, and found that the price vs. condition on square bodies was kinda outrageous. So I ran across a high mileage (201k) no rust 1994 4x4 Blazer in ok condition. Paid $2k for it.

I'm getting to set up to be a reliable daily driver so I can keep miles off my actual daily driver, a supercharged 2015 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro (don't hate please!).

The good: Truck has almost zero rust. Light surface rust on hood and roof, couple minor spots. Bottom of tailgate and bottom of front edge of hood and bottom of doors are just starting, very manageable. Floors, rockers, insides of doors, etc. and all very clean. Engine trans and t-case all seem good. Runs good, no smoke, no funny noises, shifts good, 4x4 works. Largely unmolested, stock truck.

The bad: Interior---ugh. Needed suspension work. PS lines leaking all over the place. Brakes shot. Fuel lines rusted, rear brake line rusted, gas tank rusted. Paint in bad shape from clear coat failure. Bunch of electrical stuff not working. Found out rear diff was grenaded. Entire exhaust bad.

So, to start out:
Tune up, new distributor, coil, wires, plugs
Needed belt, tensioner, idler
Replaced PS lines
Replaced all brakes, hoses, master cylinder, section of bad line, etc.
New complete exhaust
New shocks
New ball joints
new steering box
new steering wear parts
New sway bar end links
replaced key switch (didn't need the key to start it...LOL)
new shifter spring
new turn signal switch
New section of fuel line
new fuel pump
new fuel tank
new door panels
new headliner
new carpet
new seat belts
new wheels and tires
new stereo
rebuilt rear axle
changed all fluids
New cheap paint job
new grill

etc etc etc

Absolutely no clue how many hours I have in it. But I know how much I spent so far.

Still got a few things to do. Going to replace the rear u joints when I pull the driveshaft to replace the t-case seal. Gonna do the water pump and hoses for GP. And I have new bumpers on order. Front is bent and rear chrome is peeling and its pretty rusty underneath. And I gotta do something for the seat upholstery.

But right now I've got everything working and it runs amazingly well, rides nice.

Found lots of info on this forum, so I figured I should post and show some pics.

New wheels. I found a set of new take off 18" wheels from a 2017 Tahoe. Tires were still perfectly new. I have since gotten the correct lug nuts.
