just got done making mounts for the tank so I can use actual gas tank straps. already dropped the tank so I can put a couple bolts in two of the mounts, and sprayed a little paint on them. now its done. will probably spray a bit of paint on the tank as well so it doesn't look so bad. lol

Hmmm. What's this... the 5.3 is back at home? Yup! All rod and main bearings looked brand new still. So just changed a couple seal/gaskets, the timing chain which was fine anyways (had a new one I got free so why not) and the oil pump. Just a few more small things to do to it. Then I can drop it in

Whole engine clear coated, minus the oil pan which I still need to swap out with my 98-02 f- Body (camaro/firebird) oil pan

Well ****... Houston we have a problem! My -10AN bulkhead fitting hits the oil pick-up tube and doesn't have enough room. Guess I will have to cut the bulkhead fitting flush with the inside of the oil pan, and have it welded on instead of bolted on. Lol

Modified -10AN fitting, just needs to be welded into the oil pan, and the problem is fixed

Turbo oil return fitting issue fixed. Damn $30 weld... Lol. Should be good to go now.

Oil pan mounted up, AN fitting repainted black, and then all cleared up.

Well ****... Rear coil pack on the passenger side hits the firewall. May have to move them all up closer towards the intake anyways though. Lol

Well, hood isn't gonna close on the burb with the truck intake... Guess I'm gonna have to cut a hole in the hood. Lol

Just had to remove this (which now I need to plug the hole) and the intake cover. Lol

Fuel pump, and regulator/filter mounted up. Need one more AN fitting, then I can plumb it to the tank... And start running the hard line up to the firewall
