my 98 stepside project

    I did them the same as everyone else.. Just chopped them off and dropped them two inches. Lol
    I didn't weld a round bar between them before I did it. But that would of made it a lot easier. Most people do it that way

    Seems easy enough, haha. I guess i hadn't done enough digging!!! Sadly I never would have thought about welding a metal bar between them haha!

    Helps keep them in the correct position for the core support and bumper.

    Subscribed. You have a lot of patience and the skills to go with it. Great looking truck (coming from an anti step side guy). Definitely will keep this thread in mind when I decide to bag.

    Just downloaded a new photobucket app.. Idunno why my old one don't work.

    Here's after I welded up the access hole in the floor and just did bedliner.
    Also wife decided I should do a roll pan instead of a bumper..

    Stripping paint sucked.. Someone did a respray but didn't prep good. So.. Good bye paint.. Lol

    And then after getting the remaining pieces of paint off, sanded the entire surface and sprayed a DTM primer.. I had to add a hint of green to it cause I just don't like gray primer.. Lol

    Yep, there's dings in it.. But, I now have a fresh surface to work with without not knowing what all is under it..

    Also threw a tag box in the gate because my wife liked it on the stepside bed..
