Yes, this should work perfectly.

You will probably need a new starter. The tooth count is probably different.

he will need a lt1 starter, the block and flywheel are what came on a lt1 factory.

I won't need a new starter if I use the LT1 flywheel, 10 spline 11&1/8" disc and LT1 pressure plate.

1 piece rear seal SBC's are internally balanced front and externally balanced rear. Look at an LT1 or TPI flexplate and you'll see a weight spot-welded to it. That's for external balance.
