ls1 heads on 98 5.7 vortec

Will the ls1 heads fit on the older vortecs and if they can will they help much out in hp gain or anything and what other stuff can i put on mine off the ls1's

No they won't work, use a 5.3 block for cheap power.

I can not think of anything on the ls motors that will work on your motor. two different generations on motor.

only thing from the ls motors that will work the 5.7 is the valve springs.. but you gotta use either the stock 5.7 retainers or special purposed ones... cant remember

The only similarities between the old style 350 and the LSx platform are the following:

4.4" bore centers
Both have 8 cylinders

If you look around, you can find a good deal on a 5.3 engine that you can swap in.
