hey all i'm currently doing a cab swap and i was wondering how many guys it should take to lift it (extended cab)

Sounds like a situation for tools doing work as opposed to backs. Maybe a strategically placed come along or 2. Or ratchet straps. The older I get the more work I put into making tools do the work

Cabs are very heavy! Even when an old diesel JD 3020 is hauling it in the back, makes the front tires lift, even with suitcase weights in the front. Had all the interior stuff and it was an extended cab. Very, very heavy. You should check in to renting a wheel loader or maybe, if heavy enough, a forklift. Larger tractor (JD 4440, something like that) with a fork lift would be best. I know I do have one of the those crane looking things with a chain that you use to pull the box and/or off of the frame. Very useful.
