Check Ron s machine service.
When I built my 9.5 I bought everything through him. His prices are pretty reasonable.

I'm going to regear a 1999 Tahoe 4x4.
Where is the ABS reluctor ring on these trucks; T-case or rear axle?
Do I have to swap that also, or is it just a programming issue?

I have a 14 bolt SF 3.73 that replaced my factory 10 bolt gov lock my Z71 was born with. I have utilized a gear ratio calculator to determine what I need for a future lift and larger tires. As with most 4x4's in the GMT400 range I have 31" tires from the git go. I wanted to run 33's and a 4" lift, my figures tell me I need a 3.97 ratio with this combination, and the closest available ratio is 4.10's. When I figured 35's I came up with a 4.21 ratio, so yet again I figure 4.10's are the perfect happy medium for whichever way I go.

I have a very peppy engine and a NV4500 trans, so I have no problem getting power to the wheels, I do have a problem with traction because of the open carrier. I am saving up for a Detroit to harness my power.

I had 4:56 and 35s on my truck. I went back to 33s and 4:10. Since I’m lowering it back to stock height I may regear yet again but I’m gonna try for some 295/50/15 as they are close to 31 tall.

When the truck was factory it came with 3:08. Combine that with 35s it was a sloowww ride.
I think I used yukon gears and bearing kit.
I found it’s easiest to pull out the axle and reinstall it than trying to work under the truck if you don’t have a lift

295/50/15 are 26.6 inch tires.
275/60/15. Sorry my mistake. Brain fart. Those are 28/29 inch tall depend8ng on Wheel size. I squeezed a set on 15/7 stock wheel and they looked pretty hefty. They stretch out on a 15/10 that’s why I’m running or planning on a 15/8
