Nope, Vortecs go 2.25 dual to one muffler like that, HD trucks like mine go from a 2.5" at the manifold flange, immediately up to 3" dual, then staggered cat's, then a dual in single out muffler.

It's why so many Vortec trucks are running around with "True duals", they just cut the muffler off and stuck whatever muffler's they like on it.

Not true on the HD comment. They're 2-3/4" not 3".

If you look at the rotten frame's exhaust (bottom pic) That is a Vortec 5.7L (350) exhaust on a 96 + truck. That is what I had on my 97 until I removed the stock muffler, and ran true dual's on my truck, 2 mufflers with 2 tail pipe's.
