Thanks man! It is exactly that. I had no need for the player since I installed my alpine deck so I just took out all the guts until only the frame was left. Then I just used hot glue to mock everything up before I screwed everything in place since I don't have a rivet gun.

I was about to mount mine in the same place, but mounted mine right above where the 3 power outlets are. On my 92 truck I had an aftermarket deck so it was installed where factory radio use to be and you could get a little cubby for.
