How bad are clearance problems with a 5/7 drop?

I noticed everyone running staggered tire and wheel sizes. I want to run 18x8 with 5" backspacing front and rear so I can rotate them. 5/8 drop. Will I have clearance issues up front? 255/55/18

Probably not on a 8 inch drop if you go 5/7 you should be fine and ur ride will be more comfy.dropped88 is running 265/65r17 on a 6 inch drop its 30 inches in diameter so if we do the math 255/55r18 is 28.8 1 inch less should work on 5/7 .if you really want 5/8 u might want to use 255/50r18

Thanks. I purchased a DJM 4/6 kit before I realized the truck already had 2" shackles. Looks pretty good with the 235/75/15's on it now. Although the backspacing on the wheels is wrong. According to tirerack the 255's will be stock width and diameter

Sounds good great choice on rim and tire size
Wheels ordered. I went with the Ridler 650's. Seems like everyone does the 5 spoke. Just wanted something a little different. Front seems about an inch too high. I'm at 9", axle centerline to lip front and rear. Will my new springs settle after a few weeks?
