Just because its class 3 doesn't mean much depending on what you mount it to. Remember the bumper is only rated for a few hundred pounds.

I would just get a normal frame mounted hitch.

A real hitch isn't that expensive or hard to find for a 88-98 chevy. I wouldn't waste my money on that.

That is a hitch for a utility truck with a stout bumper. I use to work at a shop and we would install those ONLY on utility beds. Our bumpers only have like a few hundred pound weight. Get a decent hitch like draw tite or curt

I'd recommend getting a class V and not have to worry about it. I wouldn't want to put any real amount of tongue weight with a stock bumper on the one you linked. Get a Resse, Curt, or Draw-Tite frame mounted receiver hitch and you'll know that you have a good hitch from a good reputable company.
