Big question for all the guru's is what fasteners to use?
I've changed out a few shackle hangers with a kit, but can't remember what bolts were used. We're they splined like a wheel stud?
If so where can I purchase them.
Grade 3 carriage bolts ain't gonna cut it. Haha

You don't really need super tough hardware to put that part of the frame together. Grade 5 should be plenty sufficient. The rear cross member only holds the spare and helps to keep the rails upright instead of turning in. Y ou have the rear bumper and trailer hitch in the rear also which help too. The original rivets are tight but not hardened as they cut right off with an air chisel. I can't imagine plowing with a beast that long and wide.

What part of New England ?
