Can I leave the cv on the hub to do this?
The tube/axle will drop out the from underneath. 2 bolts on the frame, then unbolt the axle from the cv, and unbolt the diff side.

Make sure that gears 8 and 22 in your diagram go back in the same way they came out. They have a special cut on one side so 22 can slide across 8.

Well it slid out again driving in 2wd.Is it safe to drive in 2wd with it slid out a bit? Not sure why it keeps sliding out.Maybe the c clip I got from the auto parts store broke.I wonder if I could weld it together? Weld the gear to the axle so it wouldn't slip out.

I welded the gear to the axle so the clips won't slide out.Works good so far.
