Truck is a 1998 two-door Tahoe without the rear heat. 350 crate engine with about 40k on it and running the green coolant.

It has a valve where the heater hoses go into the firewall that closes when "recirculation" is selected to keep coolant from going into the heater core.

I run it on recirculation all of the time, the a/c needs all the help it can get.

Now I have leaks on most of the heater outlet hose connection points.

At the outlet on the valve...

And further up before it goes to the water pump...

The inlet side is not leaking, not even at the goofy connector on the intake manifold.

I would guess that it's seeing too much pressure somehow. Maybe a blockage in the hose? Before I take a coolant bath and start pulling hoses, is there anything else that could cause this?

The thermostat seems to be opening, the upper hose radiator gets hot after a few minutes.

Any thoughts?

Get rid of those spring clamps you got, and replace them with some gates worm gear clamps, and replace the hoses if they are old. The spring clamps get week in time. A worm gear clamp will not do this, but be sure to ask for gates brand clamps. There are a lot of cheap look a likes, that are junk.

Thanks, sounds like a plan. I didn't know the clamps could weaken like that.
