i'm thinking about throwing some headers in my 95 k1500 but i'm not sure what route to go. since right now my exhuast is 3" to my glassback then it splits 2 1/4" duals. i eventually wanna run true duals but not really atm. my exhaust manifold is warped atm and it anoys the hell out of me. i was thinking http://www.summitracing.com/parts/B...|1995|Make|GMC|Model|K1500+PICKUP&prefilter=1 but will those line up with stock y-pipe or should i go with and after markets? also if i do so go with the after market y pipe my o2 sensor is wired right in the front of the cat on the stock one. 3 wire after market instead of the stock 1 wire on the manifold. what should i do?

no way I'd pay that price, I got some stainless ones on ebay shipped for $122 so they won't rust, those will, and mine bolt right up to the y-pipe, those do not, you have to cut the flange off and use the reducers.

no they have reducers too, you do not want reducers unless you want to cut up and have to weld your exhaust. Mine were from tuning pros.

I searched for 88 chevy truck headers. I'll find them

ones I bought..

another simialr set, same ball end to bolt up to stock pipes...

alot of others some don't fit, some are for turbos setups or some crap some have reducers..

don't see why not, that's what they are made for. They bolted right up to my 88 tbi. Mine had the y pipe cut off, but they left the upper ends that bolted to the manifolds, and made it duals, so mine bolted directly in place of my manifolds.

that's the thread I made when I bought them. page 2 I think has pics of when I got them, page 3 has installed pics and how they change colors, but they look exactly the same now, the blueish amber like spots, everything and it's been a few months now of daily driving, hasn't changed.

thanks for the advice i'll be getting them in the next few weeks or so and throwing them in. need to get some extra cash first...lol. and would it be beneficial gutting my cat? i'm getting horse **** fuel economy right now and i dont want to make it worse. i think part of it is a bad o2 and the messed up manifold but hopefully those headers will fix that

I don't think they sound much different, but I dont have much to go on, mine leaked everywhere and was cracked and the headers don't.

If you don't have to pass a emissions test, gut it, do you have visual inspection? we do here and they look for cats, if you don't have them you got to get em put on, but if they don't check yours just ditch it completely. jegs has an offroad y-pipe, if you need one, not sure if that deletes the cat or not. I know I don't have cats, but I have to get 2 put on and they are gonna be gutted.
