It's definitely different. But why? Does it do wheelies? Lol!
I don't know, did not get a chance to talk to the guy, he was mobbed with people the whole time he was there. He was a old guy, I don't know if he built it or bought it built.
The wheels was a strange touch, they were GM truck rally's with the spoke hub cabs, almost looked like a custom wheel until you got up close and looked at them.. Actually they looked good on it to be hub caps.

I suspect you will find an Olds Toronado trans axle under there. I helped a buddy do this years ago to a Chevy Luv truck. We had to add weight behind motor to get the wheels up. We figured it was the lame gear ratio that hindered the wheelies.

That was the same principal behind the Roadkill Mazda mini truck as well. Olds 455 with a Toronado transaxle.
