I'm getting ready to rebuild the 350 in my 94 k1500.Been looking at performance upgrades.I found mild upgrade I think should work fine just wondering if anyone is running it & how they like it.Basically its a skock bottom end with a hi volume oil pump, a Edelbrock cam # 3702,Edelbrock intake # 3704, mild port work on heads,& Edelbrock shorty headers. Also a Motorvation TBI spacer.I believe powerband should pull strong up to 5500 RPMs.
This is a quicky build to get back on road.In the future I'm planning on getting a 383 from Carolina Engine & a 750 cfm TBI setup from Motorvation.Has anyone used the 750 TBI yet?
Thanks for your time

If you can program the TBI system yourself, I would go for it. I have the holley commander950-Pro programmable 4-barrel 700cfm throttle body on mine. There is a learning curve, but I love being able to tune just about every single parameter for the engine, as well as having data logging. It runs excellent. It is a very consistent system. Also, get a wide band 02 sensor if you plan on tuning it yourself. Pays for itself in ease of tuning.

by what i understand, 383 tbi's are impossible to tune. i would either go carb, or another route.

I went & talked to a guy from Motorvation. He said there should be no problem as long as the cam doesn't have more than 230 duratoin at 50 degrees. They will supply everything needed including custom chip made to your setup

LS motors are sweet got one in my TA.I dont want to swap one in my truck.Im looking to build something a little different, hence the 383 with 750 cfm throttle body.I believe I can get over 300 hp & around 420 lbs in torque. Now when I want something with more power I go out to the garage & fire up the cuda its got a 440 stroked out to 493 with a305/575 solid roller 5 spd & 4:10 rear.It kicks out around 650hp.
