When my grandpa died in February 2012, I inherited (he wanted me to have it) his truck. It has only 71,*** miles on it with the 5.7L 350 V8 and 3.42 gears. It is a 2WD and although I like the lowered look, it just isn't my style. So I plan on lifting it a little, throwing on some wheels/tires, and making it sound better. It will be VERY slow due to the fact I'm in highschool with no job with a couple $hundred saved. If you have any questions or comments there is another thread in "Member Trucks" where you can comment/ask. Thanks.

Ok, I finally got something done today: I restored the head/park lights to their former glory. I used Fast Brite Automotive Headlight Restorer Kit from Walmart for $9.95. For only $10 this product works great. I don't know if you can see the difference in the pictures though lol!

Today I cleaned out the interior and found a set of anchor tie downs. Free... Easy... Why not?

JUST WANTED TO SAY THAT THIS THREAD IS FOR ME TO KEEP TRACK OF MY TRUCK. IT IS THE SAME INFO AS THE BUILD THREAD IN "MEMBER TRUCKS"
Update (Pics tomarrow):
I installed a trailer harness and spent 4 hours washing it. Took the valence off and ordered some tow hooks. Those valences are expensive. $10 turns into $40 with shipping from rockauto.com.
Once again, changed my plans:
- 2" Coil Springs
- 2" Rear Blocks
- New Shocks all around with Red Boots
- 31x10.5r15 Treadwright Guard Dogs
- Jet Accu Speed Control Unit
- Flomaster 40 Series Muffler 2 1/4" Single I/O
- Tow Hooks
- Tow Hook Valence

Future Plans:
- Posi
- HIDs
- Hitch
- Multi Ball Mount w/ Tow Hook
- TBI Spacer
- JET Chip
- K&N Aircharger System
- LED Taillights

..... hopefully more to come

Decided, "Why not?" The screws stick out too far. Dunno what the deal is.

Ok so this morning I stating looking to see what size holes to cut for the tow hooks. After 20 minutes of trying to fit and measure I finally turned it over and noticed that good 'ol GM had an outline where the holes would have been cut from the factory. So 45 minutes with a dremel and I had 2 holes. Not perfect but they will get the job done. On to the pics:

So far I have everything on the front disassembled except the upper ball joints. Depending on how well the grinding and drilling goes, I may end up buying new upper ball joints (~$50). Tomorrow I hope to get the rear blocks on. Then alignment is ~$60. I have narrowed down my tire choice to 31x10.5r15 Goodyear DuraTracs or 31x10.50r15 General Grabber AT2s. Depending on what money will allow. After lift and tires, I'm going to calibrate my VSSB. I hope I can pick up a couple of DIP switches cheap.
IIRC, my fender height measurements were F: 31.5" R: 33". I measured mine and my dad's F150 so I may have gotten them mixed up
A lot of info but I'm up to date :D
