Is it possible to do this, but in reverse? Is it basically the same procedure? basically thinking about getting the added strength of a 14 bolt, but I want to keep my 5-lug pattern.

It will be the same Procedure.... Just in 5 lug

as long as you have 4-1/2" spindle shaft. what cab do you have?

454ss had 5 lug 14 bolts. If you find a 6 lug 14 just order some axle shafts an drums for a 454ss, then your done....

I just dropped in a 6 lug rear 10 bolt and the front rotors from a 93 2500 light duty 6 lug. I needed to change to the SF14 rear anyway. Going to do the same swap on the 95 I have now, But I am looking for the SS 454 rear or will convert a SF14 6 lug down to 5 lug with ss axles adn drums.

Looks good, wish I still had my 5 to 6 lug pix but I did mine different I used 88 6lug front rotors and a 99 escalade rear end on a singel cab hort bed I had
