Cut the stock Y pipe to make getting at the manifold bolts easier.

Two of the nuts were stripped so I had to cut them off. This is my attempt at fixing the cut manifold studs.

Passenger side bung needed to be added because the factory O2 wouldn't reach.

O2 bung also added on the driver's side. Finished y pipe with V band installed.

V Band added to cat and intermediate pipe.

Rear flange installed on the back of the intermediate pipe. I had it laying around or it would be a V Band.

Finished Intermediate pipe.

I didn't get a pick of the flange installed on the muffler or installed to the tail pipe. But the exhaust is in 3 peices so i can easlier remove it from the truck if need.

Installed pics.

I used this on all the welds. It's supposed to stop the welds from rusting. I could tell that Flowmaster used it on their muffler.

Overall I'm very happy with the sound. Nice and deep without being too loud.

Nice! Very nice work.

I'm still in need to do my exhaust. I've got everything except the headers.

Nice work. I paid a shop $200 for 2.25" headpipes connected to my shorty headers straight back to a DI/SO 18" Magnaflow out through a 3" factory side exit tail with a 15° cut stainless tip.

Disabled the engine codes so they didn't pop up anymore. We don't have emissions in WI. I installed the high flow cat to help eliminate rasp.

The pipe mounts up real nice. Not a bolt on solution by any means but a cheap option for those wanting an upgrade to the factory y pipe.

And it was a pretty easy project for me since I have a welder and a lift in my garage.

Very cool. The nice thing about this setup is shorty headers will bolt right in. If I ever wanted mid-lengh headers, I could cut the flanges off the y-pipe and install v-bands to secure the headers to y-pipe.

I ported and polished the outlet of the factory headers while I had the y-pipe off. I didn't take much off because they are still factory headers. But I removed some casting lines and smoothed things up. Who knows if it even makes a difference?
