I have an 87 GT fastback getrag 5-speed that I swaped a SBC into. I love Fieros, I had 4 of them in high school. My daily driver back then was a 86 notchback with a 3.4 DOHC swap. That thing ran 13.9s all day long, I got 2 trophies drag racing that car.

Man that thing looks clean! I've always had a soft spot for these, they are fun to drive!

Damn I bet that thing was a rocket with a 3.4

Very Nice!! I had one years ago. Loved it! 2.5L Iron Duke motor and a 5 speed. Drove it almost a month on a tankful. Might even have some parts laying around

My dad has an 86 with a 3.4 swap and that runs low 30mpg with an aftermarket cam and tuning. It averaged 28mpg on a trip through Colorado and we could pass everything but a Vette going up and down.
Currently planning/working on an 88 with a SeriesII 3800/4T65e swap. That one is slow going since it's a collaborative project.
