I'm new to this whole lift your truck thing and I have a few questions about lifting my truck. It's a 98 silverado 2WD with 33" Bf all terrains.

I recently decided I wanted to lift my truck because I realize how low it sits in the front. I looked up some leveling kits and came across one on eBay and it seems kinda sketchy... It says it adds 3" to the front and 2" to the back. It's only $150, that price seems too low. Here's the link http://m.ebay.com/itm/281065244111?nav=SEARCH&sbk=1

But then I saw a rough country 4" suspension lift. http://www.roughcountry.com/gm-suspension-lift-kit-231n2.html
I would assume it is better quality than that ebay brand. What is the max tire size for a 4" suspension lift? I want to shoot for 35s without trimming but if I have to, is trimming hard? Of the 2 which is the better of the 2? Idk I just have a lot of questions because like I said I'm new to this.

The Ebay link worries me because it says it comes with upper strut spacers an there are no picture of what's actually in the kit. These trucks don't have struts so im assuming it's actually a coil spring spacer. IMO I would go with the rough country spindles for a better ride an easier install. Plus your ball joints an tie rods will be at better angles than a spring only lift. If you do the install yourself while you have everything apart go ahead an remove the knockouts from the upper control arm pockets so you don't have to pay the alignment shop to do it.

Being able to run 35 will also very much depend on your wheel back spacing. You might want to go ahead an plan on a 3" body lift as well if you don't want to cut your bumper or fenders.

NEVER, EVER, EVAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRR, buy anything for your truck from ebay... unless it happens to be a red blooded American that unbolted some stock part which was already working fine...
otherwise, you will get nothing but downright unsafe fasteners and parts from china...
I s)(hit you not... bolts that are meant to take 85ft lbs of torque, but their threads let go at 40... shock brackets that collapse and sheer... lift keys that crack and split apart...

if you are %100 set on a lift kit, buy an American name... our country has become so sue-happy that they would not put a product out unless it was quality.

that being said, I would recommend a lift kit that does not use blocks for the rear. I think theyre unsafe and half-ass. but that's me

I would run the rc spindle lift in the front and look into 2500 or 3500 springs in the rear. Blocks are okay, but I prefer springs over block. 4" with 33s will look great on your rig. A 3" bl will not look as bad either because the frame is tucked more in a 4x2. Look at fastoranges ecsb build. He's on 4" spindles and 3" bl with 35s and looks amazing.

I agree with Taylor, 2WD and 4WD trucks look much different when it comes to lifting them. If I were in your position I would consider a 3" Body Lift. A body lift is much simpler and is easy enough to install in one day, and doesn't affect the way the truck drives in any way.

I'll get blasted for this but... At the end of the day, let's be honest: It's a 2WD truck, so there's really no benefit of a traditional lift kit over a body lift.

A 2WD truck is always lifted for looks.

Here's a kit that will fit your truck for $179:

Yeah, I'm not sure about the kit from eBay, all the feedback on it says it make the ride quality terrible or they get the kit with missing pieces

My friend just told me rough country isn't that good of a brand. Is he wrong or is there better brands? If so what would you suggest?
