Anyone know what the symptoms of a bad EGR on a 98 chevy k1500? My truck bogs when engine is cold then engine light comes on p0405. When it's warm no issues. Just want to make sure it's the egr a new one is $300.00

With a P0405 code I'd say it's pretty safe to assume that the EGR is your issue. Where the heck did you get that $300 number, though? You can get a genuine AC Delco valve for $120, or a Delphi for like $80.

EDIT - Just noticed you're in Canada, but still, that should translate to like $160 Canadian monies, right?
