That fits the standard radiator. The 454 uses the big radiator. $500 is a lot of cash...

try this one then.

I installed a aluminum 3 core radiator with shroud and 16" fans (5,000CFM total) on my 89.

How did you install the newer style a/c compressor on your truck?

Awesome. Is it a straight replacement without much fabrication? Does it seem to work good? I only ask because my 91 is due for an a/c compressor and would rather update if possible.

Check out this Engine Masters video on fans, they compare clutch, flex, and rigid fans on a dyno. The flex fan sucked like 14hp from the motor.

Yeah flex fan is a no-no...engaged full time, even when you don't need it.

OEM style rigid fans predate GMT400's by practically decades so they're not even a factor here.

Well I finally converted to Electric fans. But also upgraded the radiator to a 34 inch 2 core and used the fexalight 294 fans. the upgraded radiator has engine and tranny lines which are needed for the new engine. I do have a NV4500 manual but if I put a nipple on each PTO port and get a oil pump and screw on oil filter and bam. I'm also doing this with my diff but a local small cooler since I have a finned aluminum diff cover.
