I can't take it.. now that I know I'm going to a shop I notice it even more.... have to wait my o2 bung didn't arrive :(

Wow am I the only one that prefers engine noise to radio noise? lol

You want to talk about drone? Ride my Triumph for Abq NM to Enis TX with NO radio lol. Loves me some engine noise.

I love engine noise too, but that constant buzz while in OD in your daily driver is enough to drive you nuts.

OP what did you end up doing? I put in a new y pipe, cat, and ended up with turn downs behind each wheel. Not as loud at all (but the old cat had some holes drilled in) but 90% less drone and neighbors will appreciate it... wish I took a picture of that old stock y pipe. It is ridiculously restrictive.

Dumped exhaust has a different sound, especially if the turndowns direct the sound straight at the ground. I had the exhaust on my Chevelle set up like this, and it was cool for a little while. It hit pretty hard with the cam and compression in that thing. It was even cool to rev up the engine and watch dust and stuff fly out from under the car. It got old though.
