Has anybody ran dual tanks on these trucks before? I am thinking of getting a burb tank to go where my spare is suppose to go. Anyone done this yet? I'm just tired of filling my truck up every 200 miles.

the factory dual tank setups on the 96+ cab and chassis trucks pumped from the aux. into the main, and did not switch. they had a little control box that activated the transfer pump when needed, and averaged the fuel level signals to the dash guage (one full, oneempty, averaged to half full on guage)
I have long thought about putting a burb tank in place of the spare, but on another forum, someone else did, and said some cutting and modifying was needed. I like the warm fuzzy feeling of bolt in, so I decided not to do it. plus, I run the 6.5L diesel, so even loaded I can get 300+ per tank, and in bed aux. tank are OK since diesel is not explosive.
I've seen people do this to relocate the tank. For a shortbed you're stuck with the smaller hoe tank and a lingbed will accomodate the burb tank. I'd love to do this but then where do I put my spare?
