Going to have to re do my exhaust in a few weeks and I'd like to do dual 3". The truck is a 1997gmc 1500 with the 5.7 vortec and shorty headers, a cold air intake, throttle body spacer and a hypertech programmer, nothing to serious. I'd like to do dual 3", no cats, thrush glasspacks coming out behind each rear tire on a 90° angle. Some people say dual 3" is good, others say it's too big. What are your thoughts?

I think with the setup you've already got you'll like the 2.5 best, similar to my setup. I've even been contemplating glasspacks.

I run stock manifolds (for now, eventual shorty headers) no cats, 2.5 true dual pipes, H pipe out the back at 45 degrees
