Well at least it's a four door tahoe in the picture so I don't feel as bad. Just kidding. I feel like they should have used one of those ugly ass 1997-2003 F150s, even better would be the oddball 7-lug F250 of the same era.

You are completely overreacting and incorrect. For what they are the gmt400s are good vehicles. 90%of my 90 is still factory and works ~perfectly. And take your f###### caps off.

I've got a 98 sierra in my garage that says otherwise. 272k miles and it's never had more than the normal water pump, alternator, and starter. Oh and it got a transmission at 170k which I think is within acceptable limits.

my truck is totally junk, but has a new cummins and rebuilt 4l80e to push it around. I still love my CCSB and its simple to fix the other small stuff. I really hate the the doors hinges. I dont really know of any other major issues.

my truck is good enough for who drives it.

ALL HAD THE DEFECTIVE PARTS.BAD SUN SHIELD.IT WENT OUT ON ME AT.125,000 I GOT A TRANSMAN AT A CHEVY DEALER.TO PULL IT OUT.GO THROUGH IT AND REPLACE ALL DEFECTIVE AND WEAK FACTORY PARTS.WITH AFTER MARKET.THE BEAST SUN SHIELD.WAS ONE OF THE PARTS.

COST AROUND 900.00 -THAT WAS A FEW YEARS AGO.GM WAS CALLED.THEY CALLED THE DEALER ASKING THEM TO GIVE ME A GOOD PRICE ON THE REPAIR.GM WOULD NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR DEFECTIVE CRAP AND THE DEALER TOLD THEM NO.

NOW LAST MONTH IT GOT PARKED.145,000 MILES.I THINK THE SHIFT SOLENOIDS ONE OR BOTH HAVE GONE BAD.MORE TIME AND MONEY.THESE DAYS..WE GOT TO HAVE BACK UPS FOR THE BACK UP VEHICLES..

EVERY BODY REMEMBER THE FIFTIES AND SIXTIES AND EARLY SEVENTIES.YOU GOT TEN TIMES THE VEHICLE THEN YOU DO TODAY AND YOU COULD PULL THOSE VEHICLES OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD.AND IF YOU HAD SOME HAND TOOLS..FIX THEM RIGHT THERE.

AND PARTS STORES WERE EVERY WHERE WITH IN WALKING DISTANCE--TODAY THE NEW STUFF.SOMETHING MESSES UP ON THEM.THE MECHANIC..LOL..PUTS THE COMPUTER TO IT AND TELLS THE SERVICE MANAGER THAT HE CAN NOT FIGURE OUT WHAT IS WRONG.

FIVE OTHER MECHANICS- LOL..GIVES UP ON IT AND STARTS THROWING PARTS AT IT.IF IT RUNS.LONG ENOUGH FOR YOU TO PAY AND DRIVE IT AWAY..NEXT DAY.YOU FIND OUT THAT THE PROBLEM THAT IT HAS IS NOT FIXED.YOU TAKE IT BACK.OVER AND OVER..AM I RIGHT..

Hence my user name. Some of the trucks I pick off at the junkyard are nicer than the one I drove there. Making comments to myself like "Wow, this one is a lot less rusty than mine, and they junked it?" And "Bet this one just needed a transmission rebuild."

People junk stuff around here because it doesn't pass emissions standards. I understand we have to care for the environment, but not allowing someone to get plates and throwing away a whole vehicle because it has a "small evaporative system leak," is probably worse for the environment.

Sorry, got sidetracked. -Yeah, I drive junk. Lots of junkers.

EVERYTHING GM 1980 TO 2002 I THINK-YOU HAVE TO REPLACE ALL GM PARTS WITH AFTER MARKET.TO KEEP THEM FIXED AND RUNNING AND TO MAKE THEM LAST.ENGINES AND TRANSMISSIONS.ALL HAVE PROBLEMS.

NO GM MECHANIC.AT A DEALERSHIP.WILL REPLACE ANY PARTS.HE REMOVES.WITH FACTORY PARTS.MOST ARE DEFECTIVE..HE SENDS OUT FOR AFTER MARKET PARTS.

THAT HE KNOWS WILL WORK AND ARE BUILT STRONGER..BECAUSE HE KNOWS-FACTORY PART.IT IS A 75 % CHANCE THAT JOB IS GOING TO COME BACK AND HE IS GOING TO HAVE TO FIX IT AS A COME BACK..AND LOSE HIS LABOR TIME AND MONEY

FOR YEARS ALL GM VEHICLES.HAD BAD ENGINES-AKA 400 V8 I THINK WAS THE WORST-THEY HAD BAD FUEL INJECTION SYSTEMS EXCEPT THE CORVETTES..BAD TRANSMISSIONS FOR YEARS.

700R 4,S AND ML60 E AND ML 80 E AND OTHERS.NOW ALL OF THAT HAS BEEN DONE AWAY WITH.A FEW YEARS BACK.THEY WERE PULLING THE TRANSMISSIONS OUT OF NEW CADILLAC'S.
WHY BECAUSE JUST LIME ALL THE OTHERS..

OILING PROBLEMS INTERNAL PRESSURE HOSE PROBLEMS.THEY WERE PULLED OUT AND FIXED.BY THE DEALERS.TRANSMISSION GUYS.WELL MY LOCAL CHEVY DEALER DID.THEY MAY OF FARMED SOME OF THAT OUT.ACROSS THE COUNTRY.

IF I AM RIGHT..2002 VEHICLES HAVE ALL BEEN CHANGED UP..ENGINES AND TRANSMISSIONS.I HAVE A 1986 - AND A 1988 - AND A 1996..ALL WITH DIFFERENT PROBLEMS-

ALL WAS DEFECTIVE IN DIFFERENT WAYS.FROM THE FACTORY.THEY WILL HAVE TO BE WORKED ON TO THE DAY THAT THEY DIE - AKA THE CRUSHER.I TRY AND STRETCH OUT THE REPAIRS.SO YEARLY.I HAVE SOME MONEY IN MY POCKET.

Jesus Christ that gave me a headache. First off, turn your damn caps lock off. You come across like an old fool waving his cane from a rocking chair on the front porch. Second, you are just plain wrong on so many levels. Sure, my 22 year old truck smokes, leaks, paints peeling and the transmission had to be rebuilt, but, it starts up every time and runs like a champ. Oh, and turn your damn caps lock off.
