My 1999 K1500 Sub, 100% stock, just weighed in at 5800 at the local Landfill scales. They are County owned so I assume they are calibrated properly

My 97 Suburban weighed in at 6000, full tank of gas and all the fluids were topped up, I'm kinda tempted to weigh my old K2500 for ***** and giggles.

Lightweights!

My 1997 G1500 Express conversion van with 350/4L80E and 9.5" on 20s was 6,200 lbs. With the 1 ton suspension, brakes, 1 ton diesel battery box on the frame with a deep cycle in it and 10.5" rear with LT 265/70R16 10 ply tires I have a feeling it is closer to 6,500 lbs.

Last summer with the travel trailer mostly empty and empty water tanks I was slightly over 12K.

I reckon my old 96 K2500 with a 454/4L80E, 10.5/FF, and a full tank of gas and all the other piddly **** is probably around that range.

Not gonna lie, some of those old conversion vans are pretty neat, but from what I've seen on yours, it's probably the slickest one out there!

Thanks.
Some people don't like them. Some don't like me. But it is a work in progress and I have moded it to do what I want. Sure I could go buy a 70K new SUV or Truck but I am really not a huge fan of anything on the market at the moment.

My next project is actually another van. My old 83 G20 I drove in high school. It already has an 8.1 sitting under the doghouse. Thinking of going to a full 1 ton suspension on it. Possibly a solid axle 4x4 build. Time will tell on what that becomes. For the time being though I think its getting converted to a G30, running the 8.1, an Allison AT545 and the tallest geared 10.5 I can find.

Curb weight at CAT certified scale = 5720lb - 180lb (me) = 5540lb with topper and bed mat.
