We didnt have any issues heating and such near the tank....just gotta be careful. Might not want to down 4 cans of rebbull and try to torch/cut in that area

i just replaced mine on my tahoe, u need to drop the gas tank to get the leaf spring bolt out. i found a set of leaf springs a a junk yard for 50 bux. then i threw my 3 add a leafs in and put it all back together. broken leafs are caused by loose u bolts, if u have any questions pm me and i will be glad to help! i also have pics of how i did mine. good luck, ps its a good idea to replace bushings while u have the springs off.
