I fixed this exact issue with my 1997 K3500. Swapped booster and now switch won’t activate. Switch definitely works but won’t actuate far enough to engage (or disengage I guess).
So what I did was removed the brake switch.
Split the switch case open.
And flipped the piece that the pedal rod rides on. It’s sort of concave to the inside, and I flipped it around to the outside… not sure how better to explain that.
Which gave it less space to shift around and perfectly disengages the park solenoid.
