Find out what exact codes it was throwing. What all work was done again? And where did you get the replacement injectors?

Injectors from 5O Motorsports, Delphi FPR, had new cap and rotor put on, new CPS, intake hot tanked and cleaned, and lower intake gaskets; it'll be getting a new CPS pigtail, coil, coil module, if none of that fixes the SES light I'll just start replacing parts until it goes off
I think I'm gonna run to Harbor Freight tomorrow and pick up a cheap code reader so I can see for myself,

No, it won't. This has to be done with efilive, hptuners, or a tech II scanner.

411 or just buy a Black Bear blackbox.

Could I send a 411 to Black Bear and have them program a base line Vortec 454 tune and then tune it from there?

Good question. 411 is a can of worms with the 454. You'd be datalogging back and forth to get it right.
