I'm looking for a full drop kit preferably not a knuckle lift. For my 1996 Chevy k1500. The ideal gain from the lift would be around 4 inchs.

What lifts do y'all run? My budget is $1000 to $1500. Install will be done myself.

I run a 4" Pro Comp lift on my suburban and I love it. The Suburban has been lifted since birth in late December '95 and I haven't had a single issue with it. It rides smooth and I love the way it looks. I found a Pro Comp lift that has a drop kit rather than a knuckle lift, a little out of the price range but Pro Comp has a $200 Mail-In rebate putting it right in your price range with a little extra $$$ in your pocket. http://www.4wheelparts.com/Suspensi...3B.aspx?t_c=1&t_s=38&t_pt=3533&t_pn=EXPK1053B .

People have different opinions about which lift is the best, there's a thread on the forum discussing it. Let me see if I can find it and I'll link it here.

EDIT: Found it! http://www.gmt400.com/threads/gmt400-lift-guide.176/

I love those front skid plates but I don't think they even make them anymore.
