Ball Joint Question

Forgive me if it's a dumb question, I'm still new to these trucks. I'm going to be doing my ball joints on my 1996 K1500 Z71. I've been looking at Rock Auto and there are options for lower ball joints for welded arms, and lower ball joints for welded arms. I was just wondering if there was a difference between what ones I needed, or if I need one or the other.

I assume you mean welded or forged arms. The welded arms are made from several pieces of stamped steel welded together and the forged arms are single castings. You most likely have the welded ones.

Just go to Orilleys and get them from there. They are cheaper and they will find the right one for your application.
