Hi all, been trying to chase down a driveline vibration for the past couple of years now. 98 GMC 4x4 1/2 ton with a rcx 6" lift.

I get a vibration that starts at 70 mph and doesn't go away even if I go faster, I also get a vibration for 1-2 seconds when I let off the gas going 50mph and over.

I shimmed my pinion angle to match my transfer case to +- .3 deg, had the driveshaft rebalanced with new spicer u joints. The only thing that I can think of at this point is the up and down play on my slip yoke, thinking maybe the bushing is worn, the seal is leaking also. Do I need a longer slip yoke due to the truck being lifted to ensure proper spline engagement?

Any input at this point is greatly appreciated.

What else have you checked?.

>Wheel balance
>Bad tire(s)
>Axle shaft wheel joint(s)
>Bad axle bearing(s)
>Bad front wheel bearing(s)
>Play in the tie rod ends(inners and outers), idler arm(both pieces)

You mentioned you had a 6"rcx lift. Have you tried to re-tighten every bolt on the suspension lift?

How are the ball joints?
How are the control arm bushings?
