I recently helped a buddy tow an s10 with my 96 c1500 & while it did the job just fine it did leave me wanting a little more. The old 5.7 has a little over 270k so a rebuild sooner than later will be a welcomed treat. During the process i figure i build it to my taste & add/replace old stock parts with aftermarket ones to add a little pep in its step. Heads, cam, headers, exhaust, machine work etc & along with that an intake manifold. But I'm having trouble deciding which one to go with so i came in hopes others with more experience in the matter can help. Ive been looking at the edelbrock pro flo kit & like that it seems to be an "out of the box ready to go" kit. But what other good options are there out there? Would a 0411 swap alongside also be a good idea or are they complete standalone units?
