Ac control head issues

I just picked up a 90 454SS, truck runs and drives great. The only issue I'm having is the ac control head randomly switches to defrost while driving. Sometimes it will drive for 20 miles with no problem, sometimes it does it every 30 seconds. Anyone experienced this problem? I'm thinking ac control head is the issue but thought I'd see if anyone else had a similar issue before I ordered a new one. Thanks

Can't say that I've had the same problem on my 94. I know my radio unit has gotten wonky before. I've just taken apart the bezel and removed the unit and used an air duster to clean the unit and the connectors. Maybe try that?
