I could but I don't have the money rn :( that's why I would've sold the burb. I may still talk to them and see if they'd ever be interested in selling it.

So, I was looking around at threads I didn't recognize. If you're still looking for that latch for the console, here's a few options:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/99-00-01-yu...ash=item41c18d2cd7:g:sU0AAOSwU8hY4qct&vxp=mtr

http://www.ebay.com/itm/98-01-Yukon...ash=item4b15030934:g:fKEAAOSwA29Y5bQB&vxp=mtr

http://www.ebay.com/itm/YUKON-DENAL...ash=item4b108e2fff:g:3sgAAOSwLEtYhmHm&vxp=mtr

I know you're probably focused on your trans right now, so just know that the lids to these things are fairly easy to find, if you want to pay for them. Re-covering one with grey leather would probably be easier than making a latch.

But......if you want a cheaper option to try and make a latch, I was looking at the buttons of the overhead console. Some of them look very similar, and I was going to see how they might function if you were able to cut it to the size of the lid latch, but I found one complete in great shape, so I didn't pursue that too much.

Thank you for posting that but I did end up snatching one off a console a while back at the local salvage yard! I also bought the escalade wood trim that I plan to paint the same color as the truck.

Lol, no problem. I knew it was an old post, but wasn't sure if you would have found one yet. The rear cupholder for the console took me a while to find. That'll look good with the Escalade trim. I thought about doing the same, but I ended up deciding to just do leather on the inserts. Basically how the Denali trucks had them, but without the embroidery.

I'd like to replace the fabric with leather in the future, maybe at the same time I do the trim.

Dropped the suburban off at the shop to have my gm reman 4l60e installed. I figured the 3yr/100k mile warranty was worth it.

Also having my Toyo H/T's sent off to Toyo under warranty to be prorated so I can put that towards some new tires. The shop went ahead and ordered my new tires.
They're 275/70r18 Toyo R/T's with a 45k mile warranty.

Well, trans is in. It shifts smooth as butter, which I'm not used to at all.
