I'm back into a GMT400 after a sort of catastrophic failure on my last one. I have a 1997 K2500 with the 5.7 and 4L80E, but the body is beyond any hope of repair. I found a 1997 K1500, with a bad 4L60E. I know I'll have to move the crossmember, but would it be easier to just swap the whole engine and trans harness or to just re-pin the connector

2500HD harness will differ because of cat location and sometimes quantity. Best to repin what you have and add front vss. Swap computers though.

If this were me, I'd snag that hd exhaust and change over the whole harness. Head pipes on an 8 lug truck are much bigger.
