I think I'm going to crank the front 1.5" add some Bilstein 5100's and get it aligned next

Then a Viair 88P hard mounted for airing back up at the dunes and blowing up air mattresses and bike tires

Sooo.......
Some F'ky is going on inside the axle.....
Otherwise the truck did great over the holiday weekend. 5 hours one way with the bed loaded to the max and 6 people inside.

I'll check mileage but I'm pretty sure I averaged over 20mpg on the way home

Going to pull the cover tonight to have a look

EDIT:
19.7 MPG

So this is what I found. It looks bad with MOST teeth chipped but this thing makes a heavy knocking noise

So you win some you lose some. I'm not messing with this axle I'm going to find another.
I know of a couple different 9.5's with G80's and I'm going to try and get one of them. I'm fine with the G80 and might actually rebuild it with new friction materials and have all the metal parts cryo treated.

First camping trip was a success. My girl got most of the pictures I only got a few

Alright I'm replacing the entire axle with another 9.5" 14 bolt.

Stepping up to 4.10 gears this time. I'm also ditching my wheel spacer setup I'm using now.

This is a square body rear axle and will have gmt400 4x4 6 lug shafts. I'll be able to ditch the spacers as the gmt400 shaft slides right in.

Another positive is the shock brackets are shorter. I'm currently running Bilstein 4600's and a factory 2" block from a gmt800. The square body shock brackets will make the mounting distance about where it was before the blocks.
This of course if the shock brackets are spaced properly on the axle.
